Scanning a Barcode

1. On the Home screen or in the Instant Messaging folder click the BlackBerry Messenger icon.
2. Click Invite Contact.
3. Select Scan a person's barcode.
4. Click Continue
5. Hold your device to the screen so that all four corners of the barcode appear on your device screen. Continue to hold the device steady until your hear the success beep.
